Posters for events held in Mykonos, celebrating World Environment Day as well as the opening of the island’s Municipal Gallery for the 2023 season. The events served to show a different side of Mykonos, one that is less tourist-y and more focused on the everyday.

Even though the events covered a wide range of activities, I wanted to have a shared, recognizable aesthetic, albeit one that did not take away from each project’s’ unique character and purpose.

I opted for a compositional style that really communicates the visual and textual information clearly and engagingly. The image takes center stage with the typography placed around it. This kind of concept is not always easy to pull through, but it sure helps if the source material (i.e. the artworks, photographs and movie stills used within those compositions) is of high quality in its own right.
