ArionMykonos
Mythology meets a minimalist aesthetic

Logotype
Visual Identity
Logo design for a Mykonian facility of suites located near Chora. Drawing on the Cyclades’ world-renowned architectural style, but with a contemporary sensibility, Arion Suites was named after the Ancient Greek musician and poet.
Arion is said to have escaped his pirate abductors by riding on a dolphin’s back. This outlandish scene has been depicted many times in ancient iconography, including the Roman coin that the logo was based on. The final image is not a copy of that specific artifact but a freer, modernized variation, initially made by hand.
This is a more pop-oriented, adventurous take on this famous legend – and for exactly that reason one that is fresh and eye-catching.
