Melonas Androu is a small, honey-producing business that is owned and operated by Iordanis Chionidis. The project included designing the logo, business cards, packaging labels and shopping bags.

Iordanis wanted something traditional and uncomplicated. For the logo, we commissioned the image of the bee to painter Makis Morakis, who delivered a lovely artwork. Under that, a calligraphic rendition of the brand’s name was added, along with the phrase “Gnisio Elliniko Meli” (“Genuine Greek Honey”), in nantia.co’s minimal “Stamnaki Regular” typeface. For the jars, I designed custom front-and-back labels. Really easy to apply, the labels also provide space on the lid for Iordanis to manually write down the specific kind of honey contained within.

In all their applications, the logo and typography we created convey a straightforward, easy-to-understand message: like all traditional products, Melonas Androu is authentic and delightfully simple, but there is also real art in it.
